Buyer and Seller Responsibility
Buyers and sellers are responsible for listing accuracy, ownership rights, condition disclosures, serial numbers, service history, shipping information, legal compliance, compatibility and suitability decisions. FallPath is a platform, not the seller, buyer, rigger or guarantor of any item.
Identity Checks
KYC-style identity checks may be required for certain sellers, buyers or transactions. Identity status helps reduce fraud risk but does not guarantee honesty, gear condition, ownership, safety or legal compliance.
DZ and Coach Vouching
A seller may request a DZ, coach or other reference to vouch for identity, community standing or known history. The referenced person or DZ can accept, decline or remove the association. A vouch is a voluntary trust signal, not FallPath verification, inspection, sponsorship or a guarantee.
Rigger Inspection
Rigger inspection options may be offered or coordinated through the platform. Riggers are independent third parties and are not employed, supervised or controlled by FallPath. FallPath is not responsible for inspection accuracy, omissions, conclusions, delays or suitability decisions based on an inspection.
Payment Release Mechanics
Marketplace payments are authorized or held by the payment processor and released when the buyer confirms receipt, automatically after a holding period with no dispute, or following dispute resolution.
Reports and Suspicious Gear
Users may report stolen, unsafe, counterfeit, recalled or suspicious gear. Staff review and user reports can help flag concerns but are not legal findings, ownership determinations or safety certifications. FallPath may remove listings or restrict accounts during review.
Prohibited Listings and Conduct
- Stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe or misrepresented gear
- False serial numbers, altered photos or omitted condition issues
- Circumventing payment, identity, inspection or messaging flows
- Harassment, threats, abusive negotiation or false reports
- Using FallPath to evade law, taxes, sanctions or DZ safety rules
Disputes
Buyers and sellers should keep all messages, shipping records, photos, inspection results and issue reports inside the transaction record. FallPath may request evidence, pause release, refund, remove listings or take account action according to the final rules and applicable law.
